What Is Amniotic Regenerative Medicine?

At Arthritis Relief & Vascular Centers, we employ Amniotic Regenerative Medicine to help relieve the pain you feel from arthritis-related conditions. The powerful regenerative abilities unique to amniotic tissue make this an ideal treatment for stubborn injuries/pain like arthritis joint pain, cartilage tears, partial tendon tears, tendonitis, and more.
Amniotic tissue, which includes the umbilical cord and amniotic sac surrounding an unborn baby, is designed to allow the fetus to develop in a healthy controlled environment by protecting the baby from the outside world. Unlike any other tissue in our bodies, amniotic tissue has regenerative properties that promote healing without evidence of scarring or damage.
Amniotic tissue is donated by a healthy consenting mother undergoing a scheduled C-Section procedure. Before donation, the mothers are carefully screened to ensure safety, based on protocols established by the FDA and American Association of Tissue Banks. The tissue is then thoroughly screened for infectious diseases including HIV, Hepatitis B & C, Syphilis, West Nile, Zika, and many others. Last, the tissue undergoes a sterilization process by cryopreservation and dehydration.
When injected into damaged or injured tissue, amniotic regenerative treatments spark a unique and powerful healing response. This response attracts millions of cells to the healing tissue like a magnet. Stem cells, growth factors and other multi-potent cells begin healing similar to that of a growing fetus, making this process an exciting, safe, and effective treatment.
